LAB-Physical fitness
A healthy body is our most important instrument. Keeping it healthy however, requires attention and training. A healthy focus on strengthening our physical and mental fitness will increase our body’s load capacity. This way, we can handle busy and stressful periods in our life better and lower the risk to overstimulate and overload our body.
This branch of ‘LAB-O’ will focus on building up our physical fitness to optimize and maintain our body’s load capacity.
Why
Our health is a delicate balance between the daily load (rehearsals, performances, stress, …) our body must withstand, and our load capacity (physical and mental fitness).
This balance can be compared to the equilibrium of an old-time scale. One side contains our daily load, and the other contains the load capacity.
As long as both sides are balanced, everything is ok. Once the daily load exceeds our body’s load capacity, it can lead to mental and/or physical discomforts such as overstimulation, exhaustion, pijn, injuries, ….
Having a high load capacity is extremely important to avoid this last scenario, and our physical fitness is directly responsible for this.
This ‘LAB’ subject will be focused on building up all aspects of physical fitness.

Enhancing our physical fitness through training focused on:
- Mobility/flexibility
